Array Labs Raises $20 Million for Radar Satellite Production to Enhance 3D Earth Mapping
Array Labs has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round, led by Catapult Ventures, to enhance the production of radar satellites for 3D Earth mapping, bringing total funding to $35 million. The company aims to utilize mass manufacturing techniques to produce synthetic aperture radar (SAR) at lower costs and plans to launch its first operational satellite cluster in 2026. With multiple U.S. defense contracts and partnerships across various sectors, the funding will bolster engineering and production capabilities.

Array Labs has secured $20 million in a Series A funding round to scale production of radar satellites for 3D Earth mapping. Led by Catapult Ventures with participation from various investors including Y Combinator, the funding increases total capital raised to $35 million.
The company aims to produce synthetic aperture radar (SAR) at lower costs using mass manufacturing techniques. Array plans to deploy clusters of small satellites that collaboratively image areas to create 3D models.
The startup operates three business lines: selling radar payloads, providing sovereign satellite systems, and offering data products. Array has secured multiple U.S. defense contracts and has agreements with firms in mining, infrastructure, and AI. The funding will enhance engineering and production capabilities, complete radar panel flight qualifications, and prepare for its first operational satellite cluster launch planned for 2026.
