Arrow Electronics and Infineon Launch 240W USB-C PD 3.2 Reference Design for Motor Control Applications
Arrow Electronics and Infineon Technologies AG have unveiled the REF_ARIF240GaN, a 240W USB Power Delivery 3.2 reference design for battery-powered motor control applications. This design supports Infineon's EZ-PD PMG1-B2 controller, enabling fast charging for 2- to 12-cell Li-ion battery packs and efficient motor drive control. Target applications include e-bikes, power tools, and robotics, with demonstrations available at embedded world 2026.

Arrow Electronics and Infineon Technologies AG introduced the REF_ARIF240GaN, a 240W USB Power Delivery 3.2 reference design intended for battery-powered motor control applications. This design utilizes Infineon's EZ-PD PMG1-B2 controller, which offers up to 240W USB sink capability and integrated buck-boost functionality.
It supports fast charging for 2- to 12-cell Li-ion battery packs and includes motor control features via Infineon's PSOC C3 microcontroller and CoolGaN G5 transistors. Target applications include e-bikes, vacuum cleaners, and robotics. The solution will be showcased at embedded world 2026 at Arrow's stand 4A-342.
