ARUM Inc. Expands Global Reach with Generative AI and Automation Solutions
Takayuki Hirayama, founder of ARUM Inc., pivots from precision parts manufacturing to AI-driven automation, significantly boosting profits. The company, which operates over 200 installations of its ARUMCODE software and TTMC milling machines, aims to establish a procurement network across Japan by the end of the year. Plans are in place to export TTMCs to the US, South Korea, and India by August 2027, leveraging Microsoft Azure technology for operations. ARUM targets sales of 7 billion yen ($44.4 million) for fiscal year 2026.

Takayuki Hirayama founded ARUM Inc. 20 years ago as a precision parts manufacturer in Japan and has since pivoted to AI-driven automation. The introduction of ARUMCODE software and TTMC milling machines has increased profits eight- to ten-fold.
ARUM plans to link over 100 TTMCs into a procurement network using Microsoft Azure. By August 2027, the company aims to export TTMCs to the US, South Korea, and India. For FY 2026, ARUM targets 7 billion yen ($44.4 million) in sales revenue, up from 1 billion yen ($6.4 million) without AI solutions.
