Aselsan and Sefine Develop New Naval Drones NB57 and RD09
Aselsan collaborates with Sefine to produce two unmanned surface vessels, enhancing Turkey's naval defense capabilities. The NB57 and RD09 aim to improve autonomous reconnaissance and surface warfare functionalities.

Aselsan and Sefine are developing two unmanned surface vessels, the NB57 and RD09, with a steel-cutting event held on July 8. The NB57 is an anti-submarine warfare drone, while the RD09 will serve anti-surface warfare purposes.
Designed by SEFT Ship Design, the vessels will include sonar from Armelsan Defence and 12.7mm STAMP gun systems from Aselsan. The RD09 will also feature two tactical missile launchers from Roketsan, while the NB57 will carry four Mk-46 torpedoes.
Both USVs will achieve speeds up to 40 knots and an operational range of 600 nautical miles. They can operate autonomously for four days and are transportable via cargo aircraft or naval ships. This initiative is significant for enhancing Turkey's naval defense capabilities and could influence regional security dynamics.
