Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP) and FUJIFILM Healthcare Europe GmbH announced that the ULTRA GI Cycle for the STERRAD 100NX Sterilizer has received CE mark approval. This cycle introduces a validated sterilization method for duodenoscopes, enhancing patient safety.

ASP aims to work with medical device manufacturers to ensure new duodenoscope models are compatible with hydrogen peroxide gas plasma sterilization. Current users of the STERRAD 100NX Sterilizer can upgrade to the ULTRA GI Cycle. The collaboration addresses infection control challenges associated with duodenoscopes, exceeding industry benchmarks.
