ASP Isotopes Secures Approval for Renergen Acquisition, Enhancing Strategic Material Production

ASP Isotopes Inc has obtained all regulatory approvals for its acquisition of South African company Renergen, known for its LNG and helium production. The transaction will proceed via a scheme of arrangement under South African law, with implementation expected following a compliance certificate from the South African Takeover Regulation Panel around December 18, 2025.

Renergen operates the Virginia Gas Project, which has received substantial funding from the US government and is recognized for its strategic importance in helium production. The merger aims to create a global leader in critical materials, integrating ASP's isotope production with Renergen's gas project.

The combined entity is expected to enhance supply chain efficiencies and support South Africa's goals for nuclear energy and strategic industrial development. A production update from Renergen is anticipated in January 2026.
