DEFENSE

assemblean, founded in 2021 in Paderborn by Xiaojun Yang and Alexander Pöhler, develops Supply Chain Management Software based on Production-as-a-Service. The company raised €1.8 million from b2venture, Archimedes New Ventures, and Teuto Seed Club Business Angels. b2venture holds approximately 15% of assemblean.

In 2025, the company moved to a new 5,000 square meter facility and expanded its machinery, including modern milling and turning machines, enhancing operational efficiency. The introduction of the AI-Uploader for automatic product evaluation marks a significant technological advancement. Despite growth challenges due to economic conditions affecting manufacturing, assemblean aims to become a preferred supplier of defense systems in Europe by 2026 and plans to automate more repetitive tasks.
