ASU Partners with U.S. Army to Enhance Energy Efficiency at Fort Huachuca, Arizona
Arizona State University (ASU) signed a Regional Intergovernmental Support Agreement with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command to provide energy services to Army installations. Fort Huachuca will be the first to benefit from ASU's utilities monitoring and energy efficiency assessments over the next 10 years. The initiative includes collaboration with Cochise College to develop a skilled local workforce, addressing energy management challenges in historic buildings on the base.

Arizona State University (ASU) signed a Regional Intergovernmental Support Agreement (RIGSA) with the U.S. Army Installation Management Command on January 30, enabling ASU to provide energy services to Army installations, starting with Fort Huachuca in Arizona.
Over the next 10 years, ASU will offer utilities monitoring, auditing, and preparedness services. The initiative aims to enhance energy efficiency in the base's historic buildings and develop a local workforce through collaboration with Cochise College. The partnership will also create opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in energy management while addressing challenges at the fort.
