Asyad Shipping Expands Fleet with Naming of Two LNG Carriers
Asyad Shipping has officially named two new LNG carriers, Muscat LNG and Musandam LNG, enhancing Oman's maritime capabilities. This expansion aligns with Oman’s strategic goals for energy transport and supports its position as a regional logistics hub.

Asyad Shipping has named two liquefied natural gas carriers, Muscat LNG and Musandam LNG, constructed at the Hyundai Samho shipyard. This addition is part of a broader strategy to enhance Oman's maritime fleet and its competitiveness in the LNG transport market, driven by a global shift toward sustainable energy solutions.
The vessels feature dual-fuel propulsion systems and advanced boil-off gas management technologies, enhancing operational efficiency and minimizing emissions. The naming ceremony took place in South Korea, attended by Omani officials and Asyad executives. This investment underscores the importance of international partnerships and reflects Oman's growing role as a regional energy supply chain hub.
