AtkinsRéalis Appoints Byron Bright as New US Business President
Byron Bright has been appointed as president of AtkinsRéalis's US operations, effective July 1, 2026. He succeeds Steve Moriss, who will transition to lead the global minerals and metals sector until retirement.

AtkinsRéalis has hired Byron Bright as president of its US business, starting July 1, 2026. Bright replaces Steve Moriss, who has been in the role since January 2024 and will shift to oversee the global minerals and metals sector until his retirement at year-end.
The US division of AtkinsRéalis experienced a record backlog in the first quarter and improved its ranking from 20th to 16th in the ENR 2026 Top 20 Design Firm listings. Bright brings experience from his seven years in the US Air Force as a flight test engineer and holds degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and the United States Air Force Academy. This leadership change may enhance the firm’s strategic positioning in the US market.
