Atlanta Gas Light to Build $50 Million LNG Facility in Lowndes County to Boost Manufacturing
Atlanta Gas Light plans to construct a $50 million liquefied natural gas facility in Lowndes County, Georgia, to enhance energy capacity and support industrial growth, particularly in food production. The facility is expected to create up to 90 jobs during construction and generate approximately $531,528 in annual local tax revenue. It will include bulk LNG storage, truck unloading infrastructure, and safety systems, with operations commencing in 2027.
