Atlas Engineered Products has signed a non-repayable agreement for $4 million to support its robotics truss manufacturing facility in Clinton, Ontario. This funding from the IFIT program aims to enhance manufacturing capacity and operational efficiency in the wood construction sector, addressing housing shortages in Canada.

Atlas Engineered Products (TSX-V: AEP) has finalized a non-repayable contribution agreement for up to $4 million to support its robotics truss manufacturing facility in Clinton, Ontario. Funded by the Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) program, this initiative aims to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce lumber waste, and increase capacity within the roof truss manufacturing sector.
The facility, adopting successful technologies from Europe, Australia, and the U.S., is nearing completion, with equipment installations expected to finalize by the end of AEP's second fiscal quarter. This project is critical for addressing housing shortages in Canada and enhancing the competitiveness of the forest sector, which is vital for the national economy.
