AUR Lawmakers to Submit Motions on Defense, Education, and Mercosur Agreement to Senate
AUR lawmakers are set to submit three motions to the Senate addressing the government's position on the Mercosur Agreement, developments in the Ministry of Defense, and issues within the Education Ministry. AUR Senate floor leader Petrisor Peiu confirmed that the necessary signatures have been gathered and indicated that a motion of censure will be filed if the government proceeds with an administrative reform responsibility pledge. He also remarked on the impracticality of suspending the head of state due to insufficient government support.

The Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) lawmakers will submit three motions to the Senate on Wednesday, focusing on the government’s stance regarding the Mercosur Agreement, developments in the Ministry of Defense, and the situation in the Education Ministry. This announcement was made by AUR Senate floor leader Petrisor Peiu, who confirmed that the necessary signatures for the motions have been collected.
Additionally, Peiu stated that AUR will file a motion of censure if the government moves forward with a responsibility pledge for administrative reform, marking it as the eighth such instance in eight months. He also commented on the impracticality of suspending the head of state, noting the lack of government support for such an action.
