Austal Secures $136M Order for Two Patrol Boats from Australian Border Force
Austal has received a $136 million contract to deliver two additional Evolved Cape-class Patrol Boats to the ABF, increasing their fleet to six vessels. This order contributes to Austal's total order book, which exceeds $17.7 billion.

Austal has secured a $136 million contract for two Evolved Cape-class Patrol Boats, bringing the total for the Australian Border Force to six. Previously, eight Cape-class boats were delivered to the ABF from 2012 to 2015, followed by ten to the Royal Australian Navy and one to the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard in 2021.
This order reflects Austal's growing portfolio amid a robust demand for maritime security vessels. The expansion of the ABF fleet may enhance border security capabilities in Australia.
