Australia's Future Fund has allocated $8.6 million to Elbit Systems and $13.6 million to Lockheed Martin, both of which are involved in military operations related to Israel's actions in Gaza. Additionally, $165.3 million has been invested in Palantir, which provides AI technologies to Israel.
Concerns have been raised regarding $72.2 million invested in banks linked to illegal Israeli settlement activities, with warnings from the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network highlighting potential breaches of international law. The total fund managed by the Future Fund is $337.2 billion as of March 31. The investments could contradict Australia's official recognition of Palestinian statehood and its stance on illegal settlements, posing reputational risks amidst ongoing humanitarian crises.
