Avenir LNG to Supply Bio-LNG to Maersk’s Dual-Fuel Ships Starting 2027
Avenir LNG has signed a contract with A.P. Moller - Maersk to supply bio-LNG for its dual-fuel container ships from 2027. The agreement was finalized in late 2025 through Avenir Marine Limited. Initial deliveries will coincide with the arrival of Maersk's first dual-fuel vessels. Avenir LNG operates five LNG bunkering vessels and has two more on order, while Maersk has expanded its fleet with LNG and methanol-capable ships to enhance its fuel strategy.

Avenir LNG will supply bio-LNG to A.P. Moller - Maersk for its dual-fuel container ships starting in 2027, following a contract signed in late 2025 via Avenir Marine Limited. The first deliveries are set to align with Maersk's initial dual-fuel liquefied gas vessels.
Avenir LNG currently operates five LNG bunkering vessels and has two additional vessels on order. Maersk, which has a fleet of 20 methanol-capable ships, is diversifying its fuel strategy with new orders for LNG-fueled vessels, including 28 contracted since 2024.
