Ayodhya Temple Complex to Transition to Dedicated Piped Natural Gas System
The Shri Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya will shift from LPG to a piped natural gas (PNG) network. This change aims to ensure reliable food services amidst previous LPG supply disruptions affecting major community kitchens.

The Shri Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya will implement a dedicated piped natural gas (PNG) network to enhance food service reliability. This decision follows disruptions in LPG supply, which impacted large kitchens serving thousands of devotees.
A joint inspection involving Green Gas Limited and various local authorities has confirmed the technical feasibility and pipeline alignment. The PNG system will streamline gas supply logistics and support numerous small ashrams and kitchens in connecting to the network, minimizing potential disruptions in the pilgrimage area. The project is expected to improve operational efficiency for community kitchens.
