Azerbaijan Advances Energy Corridor with Major Infrastructure Developments
AzerEnerji is modernizing Nakhchivan's energy infrastructure to enhance the Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe energy corridor. A 330-kilovolt high-voltage transmission line and upgraded substations are key components of this initiative.

AzerEnerji OJSC is advancing the Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe energy corridor by constructing a 330-kilovolt transmission line with a capacity of 1,000 megawatts from Jabrayil. An additional 44 km transmission line will connect through the Zangezur corridor, significantly enhancing Nakhchivan's position in the energy sector.
The modernization includes rebuilding the 110-kilovolt 'Nakhchivan' substation as an enclosed-type facility and establishing a Regional Digital Control Center for a unified SCADA network. Existing 110-kilovolt overhead lines are being replaced with modern double-circuit lines, and a portion of overhead cables in residential areas is being converted to underground lines. These developments will improve safety, operational management, and digital integration within the energy system.
