Azista Space to Invest ₹500 Crore in Electro-Optical Payload Facility in Gujarat
Azista Space will invest ₹500 crore to establish an electro-optical payload manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat, aimed at bolstering India's space and defense capabilities. The facility, inaugurated on January 22, 2026, is expected to reduce import dependence and create skilled employment while supporting both national and international defense programs. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by key Gujarat government officials, including the Minister for Science and Technology.

Azista Space will invest ₹500 crore to establish an electro-optical payload manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on January 22, 2026, at Gujarat Space Park.
The facility aims to support India's space and defense needs, enhancing indigenous manufacturing of military-grade electro-optical payloads. This investment is expected to reduce import dependence, support national and international space and defense programs, and create skilled employment. The ceremony was attended by Gujarat government officials, including Arjun Modhwadia, Minister for Science and Technology.
