BAE Systems to Receive £4.8M Contract for Archer Artillery Support from UK MoD
The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) will award a £4.8 million support contract for the Archer Artillery System to BAE Systems Bofors AB. The contract, part of the Interim 155 Capability Project, will cover training, maintenance, repair, and configuration management for nine months. It is set to commence in November 2025, with the contract awarded on 13 January 2026, following a negotiated procedure due to a lack of competition.

The award, which was formally made on 13 January 2026, follows a negotiated procedure due to the absence of competition. BAE Systems is the sole provider as the design authority and original equipment manufacturer, holding key technical data and safety case documentation.
