The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) is set to award a £4.8 million contract to BAE Systems Bofors AB for support of the Archer Artillery System, effective from November 2025. The contract, part of the Interim 155 Capability Project, encompasses a nine-month support package involving training, maintenance, repair, and configuration management.

The award, which was formally made on 13 January 2026, follows a negotiated procedure due to the absence of competition. BAE Systems is the sole provider as the design authority and original equipment manufacturer, holding key technical data and safety case documentation.
