Bangladesh President Outlines Modernization of Armed Forces
The government of Bangladesh is focused on transforming its armed forces into a modern, technology-driven four-dimensional force to tackle evolving global security threats. The initiative aligns with the 'Bangladesh First' policy aimed at enhancing defense capabilities and national security strategies.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin emphasized the commitment to modernizing the armed forces during the 51st anniversary of the President Guard Regiment (PGR) in Dhaka. The transformation focuses on improving defense planning, preparedness, and deterrence capabilities.
Enhanced technology-based capabilities and intelligence analysis are deemed essential to counter cyber threats and hybrid security risks. He highlighted the importance of coordination among law enforcement and intelligence agencies. The President also acknowledged the historical contributions of former leaders and expressed confidence in the PGR's future role in ensuring national security and public trust.
