Barzan Holdings Showcases New Strategy and Partnerships at DIMDEX 2026
At DIMDEX 2026, Barzan Holdings unveiled a strategic focus on local production while continuing international exports, highlighted by four agreements with the Qatari armed forces totaling 3.3 billion QAR and a $1 billion deal with Turkish shipyard TAIS for frigate supply. The firm introduced the 'Barzan USV,' an unmanned surface vehicle, and a land-based counter-drone solution in collaboration with Fincantieri, aiming to expand its international market reach across Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

At DIMDEX 2026, Qatari defense firm Barzan Holdings announced a strategic shift towards local production while maintaining international exports. Chief Commercial Officer Omar Al Qadi emphasized a focus on products developed in Qatar, reducing emphasis on new international investments.
Barzan secured four agreements with the Qatari armed forces worth 3.3 billion QAR ($902.96 million) and signed a $1 billion deal with Turkish shipyard TAIS to supply two frigates to the Indonesian armed forces. Barzan introduced the 'Barzan USV,' an unmanned surface vehicle developed in Qatar, capable of intelligence and combat missions, and showcased a land-based counter-drone solution in collaboration with Fincantieri. The company aims to expand its exports internationally, targeting markets in Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
