BASF Integrates Tinuvin Stabilizers into Xfloat's Floating Solar Platforms for Enhanced Durability
BASF has collaborated with Xfloat to enhance the durability of floating solar platforms by incorporating its Tinuvin® 2730 ED stabilizer, enabling the platforms to withstand harsh conditions for over 30 years while reducing maintenance costs. The solution meets EU Drinking Water Directive regulations and holds NSF-61 certification, making it suitable for sensitive reservoirs. This partnership supports the global renewable energy transition, with installations already underway across the U.S., Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

BASF has partnered with Xfloat to improve the durability and sustainability of floating solar systems by integrating BASF's Tinuvin® 2730 ED stabilizer into Xfloat's HDPE floating platforms. This collaboration enables the platforms to endure harsh environmental conditions for over 30 years while reducing maintenance and lifecycle costs.
The solution complies with EU Drinking Water Directive regulations and holds NSF-61 certification, allowing deployment in sensitive reservoirs. Xfloat's sun-tracking FPV-T technology has shown a 28% increase in energy yield in projects like Singapore. The partnership aims to enhance the reliability and performance of floating solar as part of the global renewable energy transition, with installations already occurring in the U.S., Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
