Bavaria Positions as European Security Hub with TUM Security and Defense Alliance
Bavaria aims to become a technological command center for European security, as announced by Science Minister Markus Blume. This follows the establishment of the 'TUM Security and Defense Alliance' between Munich's Technical University and Bundeswehr University, supported by new funding rounds for defense startups. Hypersonica raised €23.3 million for its hypersonic missile development, aiming for market readiness by 2029. The alliance involves 15 industry partners, focusing on innovations for European security and includes projects in satellite technology and electric vertical takeoff aircraft.
