Baykar to Invest in Piaggio Aerospace's P.180 Avanti Following Acquisition
Baykar has acquired Piaggio Aerospace, rebranding it as Baykar Piaggio Aerospace, and plans to invest in the P.180 Avanti aircraft to enhance maintenance support and production capabilities. The company aims to increase annual production from four to 25-30 units by next year, while also upgrading the aircraft with new avionics and interior designs. Additionally, Baykar plans to establish a logistics center in the U.S., its largest market.

Baykar acquired Piaggio Aerospace, rebranding it as Baykar Piaggio Aerospace, and plans to invest in the P.180 Avanti aircraft. The company aims to improve maintenance support, spare part availability, and production numbers.
The Italian Air Force has received three of 15 planned P.180 Avanti EVO+ aircraft, which feature enhancements for military use. Baykar plans to increase production from four to 25-30 aircraft annually by next year.
Upgrades include Garmin avionics, new interior designs, and improved environmental systems. Piaggio has produced over 250 P.180 airframes since 1986, with 220 currently in service. The company also plans to establish a logistics center in the U.S., its largest market.
