The Critical Minerals Office (CMO) of British Columbia has chosen Northisle Copper and Gold Inc., located near Port Hardy on Vancouver Island, to receive support for its copper and gold mining project. Alongside Surge Copper Corp. and Defense Metals Corp., the CMO aims to facilitate permitting and environmental assessments for these mining initiatives.

The CMO will help Northisle Copper identify regulatory requirements and streamline the permitting process while ensuring strong environmental standards. B.C. produces approximately 50% of Canada's copper and supports over 40,000 jobs in the mining sector.
