BCCCI Delegation Urges Strengthening of Bangladesh-China Economic Relations
A delegation from the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) met with the Minister of Commerce to discuss strengthening economic ties between Bangladesh and China. Key points included the establishment of 'Made in Bangladesh' outlets in China and allowing LNG imports through the private sector to enhance energy availability for industries.
The BCCCI proposed increasing Chinese investment in Economic Zones and attracting labor-intensive industries to boost employment and exports. They suggested enhancing exports of agricultural and value-added products to China, establishing a Polytechnic Institute, and setting up a Medical Nursing Training Institute with Chinese support. Additionally, encouraging Chinese banks to open branches in Bangladesh was recommended to facilitate trade.
