BCCCI Delegation Urges Strengthening of Bangladesh-China Economic Relations
The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) delegation, led by President Mohd. Khorshed Alam, met with the Minister of Commerce to discuss enhancing trade ties. Key proposals included establishing 'Made in Bangladesh' outlets in China, allowing LNG imports through the private sector, and encouraging Chinese investment in Economic Zones. The delegation suggested boosting exports of agricultural and value-added products to China, establishing a Polytechnic Institute with Chinese support, and setting up a Medical Nursing Training Institute.

The BCCCI proposed increasing Chinese investment in Economic Zones and attracting labor-intensive industries to boost employment and exports. They suggested enhancing exports of agricultural and value-added products to China, establishing a Polytechnic Institute, and setting up a Medical Nursing Training Institute with Chinese support. Additionally, encouraging Chinese banks to open branches in Bangladesh was recommended to facilitate trade.
