Bechtel Awarded $812M Contract for Naval Nuclear Components; Multiple Other Defense Contracts Announced
Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc. has secured an $812 million contract for naval nuclear propulsion components, with work expected to be completed by September 2034. Additionally, Raytheon received a modification to its Tomahawk missile contract, raising its total to nearly $477 million, while other defense contracts were awarded for various projects, including cloud services for the Air Force and engineering support for missile systems.

Bechtel Plant Machinery Inc. received an $812,147,242 contract for naval nuclear propulsion components, with work primarily in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, and completion anticipated by September 2034. Additionally, Raytheon Co. was awarded a $380,809,286 modification to its Tomahawk missile contract, which now totals $476,519,069, with work spanning multiple U.S. locations and expected completion by April 2029.
Three firms, including Critical Communications, received a combined $70 million contract for Horizon Reference Systems for Navy vessels, expected to complete by January 2031. Other contracts included a $58,994,042 modification to Raytheon for SM-2/6 engineering support for foreign military sales and a $202,782,136 modification to Lockheed Martin for PAC-3 missile repairs. Microsoft Corp. was awarded a $170,444,462 task order for cloud services in support of the Air Force's Cloud One Program.
