Belgium Orders Cessna SkyCourier for Military Operations
Belgium has placed an order for five Cessna SkyCourier aircraft to enhance its Special Operations Forces' capabilities. This marks the aircraft's entry into the global defense market, reflecting a broader trend in government demand for versatile, multirole platforms.

Belgium's Special Operations Forces have selected the Cessna SkyCourier, marking its debut in the military sector with an order for five aircraft. Deliveries to Sabena Engineering will occur throughout 2027, followed by modifications before transferring the aircraft to military use.
The SkyCourier is designed for various missions, including logistics and medical evacuation, featuring a payload capacity of up to 6,000 pounds. Its performance includes a maximum cruise speed exceeding 200 KTAS and a range of 900 nautical miles. This order underlines the need for reliable airlift solutions in dynamic operational environments and may lead to increased collaboration within the defense industry in Belgium.
