BEML Commissions Robotic Welding and HMV Axle Assembly Facilities at KGF
BEML Limited has inaugurated a robotic welding cell and a Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Axle Assembly Shop at its Kolar Gold Fields complex, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities. The robotic welding cell, part of a modernization program, utilizes advanced technologies to improve productivity and weld quality, while the HMV Axle Assembly Shop is designed to assemble nine axles per day with a focus on green manufacturing principles. These developments support BEML's long-term growth and sustainability objectives.

BEML Limited has inaugurated a robotic welding cell and a Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Axle Assembly Shop at its Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) complex, enhancing its manufacturing capabilities. The facilities were opened by Chairman Shantanu Roy, alongside other senior management.
The robotic welding cell, part of BEML's modernization program, will produce components for earthmoving dozers and features advanced technologies such as pulse welding systems and laser-based sensing, aimed at improving productivity and weld quality while reducing rework. The HMV Axle Assembly Shop can assemble nine axles per day and is designed with green manufacturing principles, emphasizing safety and efficiency. These developments align with BEML's long-term growth and sustainability objectives.
