A piped natural gas network connecting 250 homes in SBI Colony, JP Nagar, Bengaluru, was completed in 100 days and inaugurated by MP Tejasvi Surya. The City Gas Distribution project, implemented by GAIL India, aims to provide a safe energy solution and reduce reliance on LPG.

Initiated in September 2025 and funded by the Central Government, the project is part of a broader initiative to expand PNG connectivity across Bengaluru by 2029, benefiting residents, especially seniors and homemakers. The success is expected to accelerate further expansions in the region.
