Bharat Forge Unveils India's First Indigenous Light Tank, Enhancing Defence Capabilities
Bharat Forge has launched India's first fully indigenous light tank, designed for high-altitude operations, with an official rollout scheduled for March 2026. The tank, optimized for mountainous borders, features a 105 mm gun, amphibious capability, and modular architecture for customization. Concurrently, Larsen and Toubro secured a contract to supply 18 BvS10 Sindhu all-terrain vehicles to the Indian Army, while Sagar Defence Engineering introduced the Varuna HA tactical aerial vehicle. Additionally, Throttle Aerospace delivered tethered drones to enhance Army surveillance.
