Bharat has expanded its nuclear arsenal to 190 warheads, surpassing Pakistan's 170, confirming its status as the fifth-largest nuclear power. The Union Cabinet approved the construction of ten indigenous 700 MWe reactors on May 17, 2017, enhancing the national grid by 7,000 MW.
In 2026, a long-term uranium supply agreement with Kazakhstan was secured, ensuring a steady flow of fuel for nuclear power plants. The successful launch of the INS Aridhaman on June 19, 2026, further strengthens Bharat's maritime security. These advancements reflect Bharat's commitment to energy independence and military modernization, asserting its dominance in the geopolitical landscape.
