BITS Pilani will invest Rs 1,000 crore to develop an AI Plus campus in Amaravati over the next five years, aiming to accommodate 7,000 students. The campus, expected to be India's first dedicated AI facility, will offer courses in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Robotics, Computational Linguistics, and Cyber Physical Systems.

Construction has commenced, with a focus on eco-friendly practices and the use of next-generation technologies. Plans also include introducing courses related to agriculture, climate, and healthcare. Andhra Pradesh IT and Education Minister Nara Lokesh reviewed the project and called for the campus to be inaugurated as soon as possible.
