Black Sesame Technologies' Huashan A2000 Chip Receives US Approval for Global Sales

Black Sesame Technologies has secured U.S. Department of Commerce and Defense approval for its Huashan A2000 autonomous driving chip, allowing global sales and deployment. This approval, achieved on January 4, follows nearly a year of technical clarifications.

The A2000 chip, which taped out in January 2025, is notable for its ultra-high performance and advanced integration of a CPU, GPU, NPU, and dedicated computing units. It is recognized as China's first automotive-grade single-SoC platform and is used in vehicles from major Chinese automakers such as FAW, Dongfeng, Geely, and JAC.

The chip supports various precision computations and features a 16-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU. Black Sesame Technologies showcased the A2000 at CES 2025 and will participate in CES 2026 from January 6-9.
