On the eve of Myanmar's general election, homemade rocket blasts by the resistance group Brave Warriors for Myanmar (BWM) injured two civilians in Mandalay. BWM claimed responsibility for targeting the junta's Central Regional Military Command with five rockets.
Mandalay Chief Minister Myo Aung confirmed three rockets hit the fortress canal without casualties, while one struck a town, injuring two. Security was heightened in Mandalay, especially in Aungmyaythazan and Chanayethazan townships, where polling was planned.
In Karen State, Myawaddy town experienced an attack near the Union Solidarity and Development Party office, resulting in at least one death and ten injuries. On election day, the junta and the Karen Border Guard Force increased security, while clashes between regime forces and resistance groups continued in various regions, including an attack by the People's Defense Force in Sagaing Region.
