BlueSpace Technology Develops VLAH Armored Vehicle Amidst Local Defense Industry Challenges in Romania
Constantin Pintilie, CEO of BlueSpace Technology, highlighted the preference of Romanians for foreign military products over local ones, citing deep-seated distrust in domestic production. The company has developed VLAH, Romania's first 4x4 armored vehicle post-Revolution, in partnership with Romarm's Moreni factory. Plans include a production line capable of 200 units annually and a new electromagnetic compatibility testing lab. Following recent NATO contracts, BlueSpace aims to strengthen its regional presence and technology transfer efforts.

BlueSpace Technology's CEO, Constantin Pintilie, noted that Romanians prefer foreign military equipment over local products, indicating a lack of confidence in domestic defense production. The company has created VLAH, Romania's first post-Revolution 4x4 armored vehicle, collaborating with Romarm's Moreni facility.
Plans for a production line include a target of 200 vehicles per year. Additionally, BlueSpace is establishing an electromagnetic compatibility testing laboratory in Moreni. After securing four NATO contracts, the company aims to enhance regional influence through technology transfers and is considering Ukraine as a primary market for its TEMPEST equipment.
