Boeing Awarded $900M Contract for T-38C Avionics Support by U.S. Air Force
Boeing has secured a $900 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense for the T-38 avionics system support. This 10-year contract, awarded on March 31, 2026, emphasizes life cycle maintenance to ensure operational readiness until 2036.

Boeing Co. has been awarded a $900 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide full life cycle support for the T-38C avionics system. The contract, finalized after a single bid, includes sustaining hardware and software, systems engineering, logistics support, program management, and courseware maintenance.
Work will occur at various Air Force bases across Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, New Mexico, California, Maryland, and Missouri. The Air Force has committed over $56.2 million in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds for this initiative. This contract is pivotal for ensuring the airworthiness of the T-38 system, which is integral to pilot training and operational capabilities.
