Boeing Delivers ViaSat-3 Flight 3 Satellite for Asia-Pacific Connectivity
Boeing has delivered the ViaSat-3 Flight 3 spacecraft to Viasat, enhancing connectivity options in the Asia-Pacific region. This satellite is expected to provide over 1 Tbps of throughput, supporting commercial mobility and defense sectors.

Boeing delivered the ViaSat-3 Flight 3 (VS-3 F3) spacecraft to Viasat for deployment in the Asia-Pacific region, targeting commercial mobility and defense applications. Built on the 702MP+ platform, the satellite integrates larger solar arrays and higher-capacity batteries, designed for high-density markets.
Following final integration and testing at Boeing's El Segundo facility, the spacecraft was transported to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, for pre-launch processing. The VS-3 F3 satellite will add over 1 Tbps of throughput to Viasat's network with dynamic beam-forming capabilities, enhancing connectivity across the region.
The launch is scheduled for no earlier than late April 2026, with operational service expected later this year. This development highlights Boeing's ongoing collaboration with Viasat and the strategic importance of satellite technology in expanding broadband access.
