Fairbanks Morse Defense Initiates €6.98M Davit Manufacturing Center in Poland
Fairbanks Morse Defense is investing €6.98 million to expand its Vestdavit production facility in Redzikowo, Poland. This project aims to establish a global Center of Excellence for davit manufacturing, significantly enhancing production capacity and supporting NATO and European naval forces.

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) is set to expand its production facility in Redzikowo, Poland, with an investment of €6.98 million, supported by Pomorska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A. The expansion will boost annual production capacity of davits by 80%, enabling the facility to produce up to 150 davits per year.
The project will create around 30 new jobs over the next three years, increasing the need for skilled workers in various technical fields. The facility's area will grow from 3,000 m² to 5,600 m², and the investment includes €5 million for new buildings and €1.9 million for equipment. Completion is scheduled for Q4 2027, aligning with increased demand from European and NATO naval forces.
