Boeing has received a contract modification worth $166.8 million for C-17 Globemaster III sustainment, increasing the total contract value to approximately $8.05 billion. The contract will be managed by the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, with completion expected by 31 October 2027.
The funding comes from US fiscal year 2026 and 2027 budgets, totaling $134.7 million, plus $32.1 million from Foreign Military Sales. The C-17, operational since June 1993, supports both strategic and tactical missions and is utilized by the USAF, which operates 157 active duty, 47 Air National Guard, and 18 Air Force Reserve aircraft. This modification is particularly important as it involves foreign military sales to allies including Australia, Canada, and the UK, ensuring continued global military collaboration.
