Boeing Wins $8.58 Billion US Air Force Contract for Israeli F-15IA Jets; Meta Acquires AI Startup Manus

Boeing has secured an $8.58 billion contract from the US Air Force to build F-15IA fighter jets for Israel, covering design, integration, testing, production, and delivery of 25 aircraft, with an option for 25 more. Work will occur in St.

Louis, Missouri, lasting until December 31, 2035. The deal also includes $840 million in foreign military sales to Israel. Concurrently, Boeing received a modification to a prior contract for maintenance services, raising its total value to $4.2 billion.

In South Korea, retail sales fell 3.3% in November month-over-month but increased 0.8% year-over-year. Industrial production decreased 1.4% annually, while overall production rose 0.6% month-over-month.

Meta Platforms announced the acquisition of Singapore-based AI developer Manus, which reported over $100 million in annualized revenue within eight months of launch. Financial terms were not disclosed.
