Boom Supersonic Partners with Baker Hughes for 1.21GW Crusoe Data Center Power Supply

Boom Supersonic has contracted Baker Hughes to supply gas generation equipment for a 1.21GW power deal with Crusoe, focusing on AI data centers. Baker Hughes will deliver 25 Brush Power Generation DAX 7 generators, with Boom ordering a total of 31 units for 1.3GW, expected to be delivered from mid-2026 to 2028.
Boom's 42MW natural gas turbine operates without a dedicated water supply and can utilize both natural gas and diesel. The company is also developing the Overture supersonic airliner, aiming for test flights in 2027 and commercial operations in 2030.
