BOTAŞ will launch the Ceyhan Crude Oil Tank Farm Project, significantly increasing storage capacity from 1 million to 45 million barrels. Construction of the first six tanks is slated to begin in 2026, with the first phase set for commissioning in 2028 and full project completion anticipated between 2030 and 2031.
This initiative is designed to secure energy supply during crises and aims to achieve a total storage capacity of 20 billion cubic meters by 2028. Simultaneously, LNG regasification capacity will rise from 161 million cubic meters to over 200 million. This development positions Türkiye to enhance its role in regional energy markets and improve resilience against energy crises.
