Botala Energy Reports Multi-Seam Gas Potential at Serowe CBM Project in Botswana
Botala Energy Ltd confirms enhanced commercial production potential at its Serowe CBM Project in Botswana following successful results from the Pitse Pilot program. A step-rate test at well S3.3 indicates that both the Serowe seam and Upper Morupule seam can deliver gas, expanding project development options. Key metrics from well S3.3 include permeability of 1 to 3mD, gas pressure of approximately 630psi, and injectivity over 10 bpm. The drilling rig is mobilized to well S3.5B for further testing.

Botala Energy Ltd has reported significant results from its Pitse Pilot program at the Serowe Coal Bed Methane Project in Botswana, boosting confidence in commercial production. Testing at well S3.3 revealed gas capacity in both the Serowe seam and Upper Morupule seam, indicating expanded development options.
Key data from well S3.3 includes permeability of 1 to 3mD, gas pressure around 630psi, and injectivity exceeding 10 bpm, which align with producible coal bed methane reservoirs. The drilling rig is now moving to well S3.5B, where data from S3.3 will inform the stimulation and flow testing strategy.
