Brain Corp and UC San Diego Collaborate on Advanced AI for Robotics
Brain Corp has partnered with UC San Diego to enhance semantic mapping and contextual intelligence for autonomous systems. This collaboration aims to improve the reliability and scalability of robotics in complex environments, pivotal for the future of Physical AI.

Brain Corp and UC San Diego have initiated a research collaboration to enhance technologies for autonomous robots in commercial environments. The focus is on developing a 'contextual grounding layer' that provides situational awareness, crucial for integrating AI models into real-world applications.
This partnership builds on Brain Corp's deployment of over 50,000 autonomous robots and 25 million operational hours, offering valuable insights into system behavior under various conditions. The research is led by Dr.
Nikolay A. Atanasov, emphasizing the need for richer spatial understanding for improved robotic performance. This initiative aligns with Brain Corp's BrainOS® platform, facilitating safer and more efficient deployment of autonomous systems across facilities, marking a significant step in the evolution of AI-powered robotics.
