Brantner Green Solutions has integrated 13 electric trucks from Mercedes-Benz into its fleet, marking the largest electric truck operation in Austria's waste management sector. The fleet features eActros 300 and eActros 600 models, deployed as refuse compactors and box trucks, fully operational since early 2026.
The company has identified efficient routes using route-tracking data to maximize the trucks' 550 km range. Charging occurs at a company depot, with plans for high-power charging hubs in Krems and surrounding areas.
Solar power is generated through the Brantner Energy Community, achieving 64% self-sufficiency by April 2025. Funding for this transition was supported by the Republic of Austria's ENIN programme.
