Brazil's Minister of Mines and Energy Visits SANY Heavy Industry in Kunshan
On January 19, 2026, Alexandre Silveira, Brazil's Minister of Mines and Energy, visited SANY Group's Kunshan Industrial Park, accompanied by Board Director Chen Jiayuan. The delegation toured SANY's mini excavator manufacturing plant and smart laboratory.
Chen highlighted SANY's advancements in digital twin technology and new energy solutions, which support Brazil's mining and construction sectors. He expressed SANY's readiness to collaborate with the Brazilian government on construction machinery and green energy.
Minister Silveira acknowledged SANY's hospitality and discussed Brazil's role in global mineral resources, particularly in Minas Gerais, which produces 80% of the country’s iron ore. He emphasized Brazil's solar energy potential and the opportunity for cooperation in wind-solar-storage solutions and green hydrogen projects. Both parties noted alignment in development strategies to enhance Brazil's mining industry's modernization.
