Easy Aerial, a NYC drone manufacturer supplying technology to Israel, has been evicted from the Brooklyn Navy Yard after the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation decided not to renew its lease. The decision follows protests from groups like 'Demilitarize Brooklyn Navy Yard' and reflects a shift in city leadership under Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Critics, including State Assemblyman Kalman Yeger, argue that this move could have negative economic impacts.

Easy Aerial, a New York City drone manufacturer that supplies technology to Israel, has had its lease at the Brooklyn Navy Yard terminated by the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corp. Councilman Lincoln Restler publicly supported the decision, citing concerns over public assets being used for weapons production.
The company has faced protests from groups advocating against its ties to Israeli defense. State Assemblyman Kalman Yeger criticized the eviction, warning of potential job losses. The decision reflects a change in administration under Mayor Zohran Mamdani, contrasting with former Mayor Eric Adams' support for Easy Aerial's operations.
The company has also worked with the US Air Force and provided security for events like the Super Bowl. A BNYDC spokesperson stated the lease was not renewed for operational compliance reasons.
