BRP Miguel Malvar Joins India's 3rd International Fleet Review and MILAN 2026 Naval Exercises

The Philippine Navy's BRP Miguel Malvar (FFG-06) is participating in India's historic 3rd International Fleet Review (IFR26) and MILAN 2026 naval exercises. These events, hosted by the Indian Navy, include over 20 countries and focus on exchanging views and enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
The participation of the BRP Miguel Malvar, commanded by Capt. Paul Michael P. Hechanova, reflects the Philippine Navy's commitment to international cooperation and its Vision 2040 for modernization.
Activities planned include subject matter exchanges, bilateral meetings, and multilateral exercises. A send-off ceremony for Naval Task Group 80.5 took place on February 5, 2026.
